European Blue Schools pályázata
European Blue Schools hálózat pályázatot hirdet a folyók, tavak, tengerek megóvásának témakörében 2024. elején általános és középiskolák számára, melyen innovatív projektekkel indulhatnak, és a féléves projektre 10.000 euró támogatást kaphatnak. A pályázati project segítségével a diákok tudatosabbak lesznek a vízi természeti kincsek megóvásában. Témája a természetes vizek megóvása, környezettudatos felhasználása, a fenntartható fejlődés,
eszközei projektnapok, kiállítások, külső helyszínek látogatása.
A pályázatok benyújtásában segítséget nyújt a Budapesti Műszaki és Gazdaságtudományi Egyetem SHORE nemzeti pontja.
Pályázatunk támája: Az Északi-tenger
Doggerland Anglia és Dánia közötti, jelenleg vízzel borított terület, mely hajdan Nagy- Britanniát kötötte össze a kontinentális Európával. I.e. 6500–6200 körül a felmelegedés miatt elöntötte a folyamatosan emelkedő tenger. A mezolitikumban gazdag élőhely volt, településekkel, bár a tengerszint emelkedése fokozatosan alacsonyan fekvő szigetekre változtatta a területet, mielőtt egy szökőár véglegesen megsemmisítette azt.
A projekt célja a klímaváltozás emberi élőhelyre gyakorolt hatásainak tanulmányozása. Mivel a klímaváltozás valós veszélyt jelent a környező országokra (Anglia, Dánia, Hollandia), ez rendkívül fontos téma. A hallgatók egy projektmunkán dolgoznak, amely 3D modelleket, rajzokat, online kutatásokat és végül kiállításokat foglal magában. A téma interdiszciplinaritása és aktualitása miatt fontos, hogy a tanulók tudatosítsák a téma fontosságát. A különböző tantárgyakból szerzett információk integrálása segíti a tanulókat a tantárgyak különálló elemeinek további megértését is. Feltéve, hogy lehetőségünk van a helyszínen tanulmányozni, hogy mi maradt meg a partvonalon a tengerszint megemelkedése után, pl. a tengeri kövületek, a szökőár
hatásait a partvonalra, valamint az emberi jelenlét lehetséges nyomait a területen (szerszámok, fegyverek, kerámia stb.).
A projektbe bevont tanulók egy szakkörre járnak, amelyet ehhez a projekthez hoztunk létre. Megismerik azokat a háttérinformációkat, tudást, amely a későbbi tevékenységeikhez fontosak. Ez egy összetett téma, amely különböző tantárgyakat fed le, például földrajzot, történelmet, biológiát, angol nyelvet és más természettudományos tárgyakat is.

The European Blue Schools network is announcing a project for the protection of rivers, lakes and seas at the beginning of 2024 for primary and secondary schools, in which they can start with innovative projects and receive a grant of 10,000 euros for the six-month project. With the help of the tender project, students will become more aware of the protection of aquatic natural resources. Its theme is the protection and environmentally conscious use of
natural waters, sustainable development, organizing project days, exhibitions, and visits to locations.

The subject of our application: North Sea
Doggerland was an area of land between England and Denmark, now submerged beneath the North Sea, that connected Britain to continental Europe. It was flooded by rising sea levels around 6500–6200 BCE. It was a rich habitat with human habitation in the Mesolithic period, although rising sea levels gradually reduced it to low-lying islands before its final submergence by a tsunami. The objectives of the project are studying about the effects of the climate change on the human habitat. Since the climate change is a real threat on the surrounding countries (England, Denmark, the Netherlands), it is an incredibly important topic. The students are working on a project work which includes 3D models, drawings, research online, and finally exhibitions. Beside its actuality the interdisciplinarity of the topic makes it possible for the students to deepen their awareness of the importance of this issue.
Integrating the information gained in different subjects helps the students understand the discrete elements of the subjects. Provided we have the opportunity to study in situ what have remained on the coastline after the submerge, the marine fossils, the effects of the tsunami on the coastline, and the possible remains of human presence in the area (tools, weapons, pottery, etc.).
The involved students attend a study circle, which is created for this project. They get to know the background knowledge which is essential for their later activities. This is a complex topic which covers different subjects, like geography, history, biology, English language and other science subjects.
